The Beginning of Kerala Samajam Vienna!
December 2, 1978
The vision for a non-profit socio-cultural organization uniting the Malayalee community in Vienna began.
December 6, 1978
The foundation of Kerala Samajam Vienna was laid with:
- The name “Kerala Samajam” was selected.
- Membership was opened to all Malayalees in Vienna.
- The first executive committee was elected, marking the birth of a vibrant Malayalee association in Vienna.
1978
A decision was made to hold a Mass every second Sunday of the month, followed by cultural events and discussions that engaged the Malayalee community.
1981
The publication of “Dipti” was launched to share news and cultural updates with the Malayalee community in Vienna.
1980s and Beyond
Kerala Samajam Vienna collaborated with the Indian embassy, brought news from Kerala, and celebrated the rich culture of the Malayalee Vienna community through various mediums.
40th Anniversary Celebrations - 01.09.2018
The grand celebration included cultural performances, showcasing the unity and heritage of the Malayalee association in Vienna.
The event was attended by dignitaries and well-wishers, celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the Malayalee community in Vienna.
